My Current Makeup Wishlist!

Well it’s officially been 10 days since I’ve been on a no-buy and I have to say that I’m pretty proud of myself so far. Have I stopped looking at all the new makeup releases coming out? Of course not! But have I made any purchases? Well, of course not! 🙂I’ve been looking through the Sephora website and creating a wishlist of items I might want to try when my no-buy is over. Yes, that might sound crazy, however, I know that this wishlist might change from now until the end of January, so I want to do two more updates: one during the middle/end of January to see what I’ve changed my mind about and one at the beginning of February to see what I actually invest my money on.

I think this helps because in a way it feels like I’m shopping. I’ve done this more times than I can count even when I wasn’t on a no-buy; I fill up my carts with things I want and then close the browser. Lol. Please tell me I’m not the only one!

Anyway, on to what I currently have on my wishlist:

Smashbox Pore Minimizing Primer – this is actually something I’ve been using recently, however it’s a foil sample and I’ve been very careful to only use it around my nose area where my pores are most visible. I really like that it blurs my pores without feeling heavy or gunky. I’d gotten samples before but just thrown them out so I regret that right now. For now, it’s at the top of my wishlist.

I recently tried out the Marc Jacobs Le Marc Liquid Lip Crayons and I am a huge fan! I have the Shade Night Mauves (from their Sephora Favorites Kit) and have seen several of my Instagram friends sporting the shade Fram-Bois! and it looks absolutely stunning! I wouldn’t say it’s like a liquid lip since it doesn’t dry down completely matte (I think it’s more of a satin finish), but I really like that, since my lips tend to get super dry. Anywho, I’m looking forward to this shade! For now at least… lol

One of the items on my wishlist that I know I am probably too late for is the Kat Von D Saint & Sinner Eyeshadow Palette. Yes, I don’t need another eyeshadow palette but I did get to play around with it in person and now I am so mad at myself for not even giving this a second thought. I am hoping they restock after my no buy lol, because it is something I really want.

Another item I have heard so many good things about but haven’t gotten to try is the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder. I’ve heard this powder does a great job at setting your under eye/foundation, it doesn’t cake up, it looks flawless, etc. I currently only own one pressed powder (The Laura Mercier Powder), but for me, is best used only in the colder months as it has some sheen to it. This may be the second top item on my list.

I’ve also really been wanting the Violet Voss Matte About You Palette. This one has been out of stock for quite some time but I’m anticipating that it isn’t a makeup item that is going to disappear so I know I can comfortably wait for my no-buy to be over to purchase this. It’s got generally good reviews on Sephora’s website, plus I’ve been happy with the 3 palettes of hers I currently have so I think I’d be happy with this one too.

What is currently on your wishlist? I still haven’t even considered the spring releases coming out but I’ll let you in on a secret: spring releases aren’t my favorite. I just don’t feel that I can pull off the light, pastel colors etc. that come out. I have tried to use them before when purchasing previous releases but I know they’re just not for me. I do want to wait and see what Natasha Denona and Tom Ford release. They have become my can’t-say-no brands!
