Review: Urban Decay x Kristen Leanne Daydream Eyeshadow Palette!

I was so excited when the Urban Decay x Kristen Leanne PR box came in! I have to say that this is one of those packages I will be keeping because 1.) I love the color pink and 2.) the presentation was absolutely beautiful! I’m excited to share everything in this collection with you!

I have been trying some of the items in this collection and feel confident giving you a review of these products coming up in future posts!

The first item in this PR box that I was super excited about was the Daydream Eyeshadow Palette! As per Urban Decay:

“When she’s not dropping amazing rainbow makeup tutorials, Kristen creates the dreamiest neutral eye looks. Loaded with five new shades, the limited-edition Daydream Eyeshadow Palette is her go-to for matte perfection. Plus, every shade has a velvety texture, rich color, serious staying power and blendability.”

The palette has 5 matte shades that range from a light cream to a dark brown/purple color. My favorite from the bunch is 12/12. I think the eyeshadow palette contains two really nice transition shades: the tan colored Daydream and the darker tan Subscribe.

I created two eye looks with this palette. I used Lucy to set my NARS eye primer both times. I thought it would be too light but using a light hand, it was perfect. I used both Daydream and Subscribe shades to use in the crease to act as a base and then to deepen the crease. The shade Eight is perfect to deepen the outer v and I also used it as an eyeliner.

The shades wore well for the day without any fallout, however I did notice quite a bit of fading. It wasn’t enough to feel that I wasn’t happy with it, because I could still see the shadow there, they just weren’t as vibrant as the first few hours.

Aside from the performance of the palette, I liked the packaging of it. It’s made of cardboard and houses a small mirror. The mirror wasn’t my favorite as it’s really small but I don’t normally use the mirrors in the palettes so it wasn’t too much of a nuisance. If you’re hoping to use the mirror here it may be too small.

I like the packaging because it feels sturdy enough to throw in your bag without worrying it’ll be destroyed and it’s compact enough to choose it for an overnight trip, travel, etc.

The all-matte palette is perfect for the everyday neutral eyeshadow wearer. I found myself reaching for this palette for a quick eye look for work. The colors are absolutely gorgeous!

Will you be picking up this eyeshadow palette? This one is a palette I would recommend whole heartedly! It’s a great one if you’re looking for everyday work-appropriate colors to look put together without trying too hard.

Thank you to Urban Decay for sending me this to review. All opinions are my own, as always!
