Makeup Empties. And a Declutter.

Hello! I thought I would write about some of the beauty products I’ve finished up in the last month and a half. It’s not something I ever kept record of, but seeing the bag slowly begin to pile up excites me. I have quite a few things to talk about so let me get started:

Sephora Rose Cleansing Wipes.

I discovered these two Black Fridays ago and really liked them. They are soft enough to take off all my makeup without tugging at the skin and do a good job of taking off everything. I have repurchased these quite a few times and will continue to do so.

Living Proof Perfect Hair Days.

I got this small dry shampoo bottle in a gift with purchase or 100-point perk, I think. I really enjoyed the scent of it and loved that it took away any signs of oiliness when I took the day off washing my hair. However, I can’t go past two days without washing it because my hair will oil excessively, but I enjoyed it. I will not be repurchasing for now because I have been enjoying my Dove dry shampoo, but hope to visit this again later.

Wet n Wild PhotoFocus Setting Spray.

This stuff was great! I think it smells and performs exactly like the Urban Decay setting spray. It had a great nozzle and it is what I took with me on days I spent nights at my mom’s house, etc. I do want to try the matte version next as I’m starting to get more oily as the days warm up. If its anything like this one, I will enjoy it.

YSL The Shock Mascara.

I really love this mascara. It provides both intense volume and length and I truly enjoyed using every last bit of it. I knew it was time to toss it, not only after the 3 month  mark, but because it began to clump up my lashes: something I never experienced it doing. I will repurchase this at some point when I’m in need of mascara.

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara.

This mascara was enjoyable, however did not provide the length and volume that the ysl mascara did. It wasn’t something I would consider purchasing the full size of at the moment, but it wasn’t terrible.

Origins High-Potency Night-a-Minis Cream.

I applied this cream every night as my night cream. It was a thick formula and I thought it did a good job at hydrating my skin. I used this little sample for about a month however as I continued to use it I noticed that I wasn’t a big fan of the scent. I believe I have another sample lying around somewhere that I will eventually use, but I am currently loving my Lancome Hydra Zen Mask so much that I would repurchase this over any other at the moment!

Christophe Robin Scrub with Sea Salt.

I loved this stuff! I used this every 3 or 4 days to detox my hair. This goes a very long way. The first time I used it I grabbed a handful and wowza, I had so much foam in my hair it was laughable. I adjusted the amount used and it ended up lasting me about two months. I do miss using it so its something I will repurchase when I visit sephora again!

Fresh Creme Ancienne Honey Mask.

This stuff actually smelled very nice, to me, and I loved this mask. It was very gentle on the skin and I was careful to use it once or twice a week: to rotate between other masks and to keep it as long as possible. It left my skin feeling very soft and smooth! I won’t be purchasing this because the price tag is extremely hefty.

Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara.

I’m almost 100% sure I’m in the minority when I say that I did not enjoy this mascara at all. For some odd reason, I was always hitting my eyes with the bristles and they hurt. I also didn’t see volume or length the way I desired. I have used other drugstore mascaras that provided either or but for this mascara I wasn’t too happy with either. I did not finish this mascara – it will be a declutter. Even though I did not like it, so many others have enjoyed it and I would recommend checking out many reviews before you purchase it.

These are all the empties for the last month and a half. I know these type of posts aren’t appealing to everyone, but I just wanted to record, if only for myself, my progress on beauty items I’m using and my thoughts on them. What have you finished recently? Let me know!

Thank you so much for reading! Till next time..
