Ulta 21 Days of Beauty: My Recommendations and What I’m Interested In!

Y’all I’ve never really been excited about Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty. Actually, I don’t think I’ve ever made an Instagram post or made as much a fuss about it before, but I did see some things that were going to be on sale that I have and love and thought I would share with you what I think is worth it and also let you know what I’m interested in picking up.

I suppose I will structure this by sale date. If you don’t see a particular date here, it is because that day’s sales aren’t interesting to me, so you might want to check out Ulta’s catalog of every day’s sales HERE.

By the time I get this blogpost up, the sale for Sunday March 18 will be just about over, but in case you’re interested, the only thing I would have suggested would be the Lorac Pro 3 palette – which is gorgeous and on sale from $44 to 22.

The absolutely gorgeous Persona Cosmetics Identity Palette will be on sale from $32, to $16! That’s dipping into drugstore price item and let me tell you: this palette is absolutely amazing! In case you’re interested: I reviewed this palette, which you can read about here, but this is something I couldn’t help but be excited for when I saw. I love it and recommend it.

Something I’m interested in grabbing – but still unsure – is the Smashbox Photo Finishing Primer Water (on sale from $32 to $16). I have used several bottles of these in previous years but haven’t bought any recently. I am interested in picking it up again because I remember liking it but I’m still unsure. Stay tuned to my instagram – where ill be posting what I purchase these days.

The Buxom Full On Lip Creams are going to be on sale from $20 to $10. Although my new favorite formula are the Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine glosses, which are available on UD’s website, the Buxom are a great option, especially for the price. They have a tingly feeling, which I don’t mind, and though they are marketed as plumping, they really are just a nice gloss. The shades I have aren’t very pigmented, but I love layering them over my nude lipsticks.

Here are the shades I own:

I am so excited that Urban Decay’s single shadows will be on sale ($10 from $20). Some of my absolute favorite include the shades: Toasted (from the Naked 1) and I am interested in picking up some shades such as YDK (that is in the Naked 2 palette), Smog (Naked 2), and the matte shades: Relish, Spike, and Riff. To be honest, I’m quite sad that the moondust eyeshadows won’t be on sale since I think they are absolutely amazing. But still, I know I am interested in a couple of shades, however don’t know how many I will actually be purchasing. I have some research to do!

March 26.

I have used up a bottle each of both the Becca First Light Priming Filter and Back Light Priming Filter ($19 from $38) and have to say that I enjoyed them enough to use up samples and full size bottles of these. I’m not entirely sure that they really help your makeup stay on all day, but they provide some hydration and glow to your face. If you want serious glow, the Back Light Priming filter is perfect. If you want a lit-from-within look: First Light is perfect! I currently have a full sized First Light and travel size Back Light so I won’t be purchasing but they are great for the price!

I am also interested in picking up the Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara that will be $13.75 from $27.50. I’ve heard great things about it and really want to try it! Have you used this mascara before? What are your thoughts on it? Let me know!

I am interested in purchasing a Too Faced Melted Matte liquid lipstick in the shades Mrs. Roper and Lady Balls. I own the limited edition ginger bread shade that went on sale during the holidays and really like the formula of these. The formula is lightweight, it is easy to apply, and it didn’t crumble – which I hate when liquid lips do that. So, I am interested in them as of now. This is another item I will have to think about.

Here are swatches of the liquid lips I own:

Oh my goodness, I seriously cannot believe that the Dose of Colors Marvelous Mauves will be on sale for $16 from $32. I have used this palette various times and really couldn’t believe how good these shadows were. I absolutely love this quint and recommend it whole heartedly. It swatches nicely, but the application and ability to blend is so effortless.

April 2.

I am seriously interested in purchasing the It Cosmetics Confidence in a Glow palettes that will be $16 from $32. I would love to try either the nude glow or warm glow, as I already have a pink palette from Kevyn Aucoin. I’ve heard great things about these little palettes so this is one item I definitely want to purchase, I just need to check out different swatches and reviews to make a final decision. I will only purchase one of these.

The Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara (on sale from $11.50 from $23) is the mascara I’ve been using recently and have to say: its quite nice. This is another sale item that I will definitely be purchasing because I think its great. It separates lashes and builds them , which really helps my short lashes out. I would recommend it if you’re looking for a good volumizing mascara.

I have wanted to try the MAC Fix+ for so long now. For years, actually! I just have never wanted to buy the full size in case I didn’t like it, and I thought the sample size was too expensive. It will be on sale this day for $13 from $26, so its something I want to try out after years of pining for it. What do you think of this spray? Would you say its similar to the primer water? Do I need both? Which is best? Let me know!

Wow! This was a long post – but if you’ve made it to the end, thank you for reading. Let me know what you’re interested in, and if any of the products I’m interested in are worth purchasing. That would help a great deal!

Until next time…

Denise
