If you’re a fan of the Urban Decay Naked Heat line then I’ve got a real treat for you! Urban Decay re-released 3 of their limited edition Naked Heat Vice lipsticks AND added 7 brand new neutral lipsticks that will pair perfectly with the Naked Heat and Naked Heat Petite Palettes!
I was so excited to find these when I opened the PR package! I was not expecting lipsticks and was very excited because if there are any shades that flatter my skintone the best – they are warm shades. So, a whole new line catered to complement the warm tones in their Heat line is so exciting!
I’ve been a fan of their lipsticks since they first released. Does anyone remember the slim grey bullets?! My favorite shade and one I finished 2 of was Naked 2 – which sadly didn’t make the cut when they re-vamped them (whyyyyy, Urban Decay, whyyyyy?!) but I’ve since leaned towards 1993 as my Urban Decay go-to.
I love all of their different formulas: comfort matte, cream, metallized… but my favorites are the comfort matte and cream formulas. I don’t find the Comfort mattes to be drying at all. In fact, I would say they are very creamy and comfortable when worn. The metallized Formula is my least favorite but only because I’m not used to wearing metallic lipsticks.
However, I can definitely see how fun it would be to sport a metallic lipstick with the matte shades in the Heat Petite, so it makes sense to have released some metallic shades.
On to the swatches! They were all very opaque with one swipe. I initially tried to swatch from the back of the tube so that I wouldn’t ruin the front (for Instagram) but failed and decided to just use them the right way! lol. The Metallics needed 2 swipes to reach full opacity, but the rest swatched nicely.
I can already tell you some of my favorite shades! They include: Trip, En Fuego, Fuel and Fuel 2.0. I cannot wait to sport them this coming week! I’m loving the deeper shades for an orange look and the nude shades for a Smokey Eye.
I also love the difference in packaging – the shades that were previously released as limited edition come in the beautiful gold cap while the other shades are housed in their normal silver caps.
What are your thoughts on these lipsticks? Do you think they’re a nice addition to Urban Decay’s Heat collection or do you think they could have done without them?!
Personally I love the shades. I think they’re fun and can accompany any warm toned palette in your collection beautifully.
Thank you so much for reading!
