Review: Becca x Khloe and Malika Face Palette and Lipstick.

Recently, Becca Cosmetics collaborated with Khloe Kardashian and her best friend Malika Haqq to make a collection of face palettes and lipsticks. I had no idea this was a thing until promo pictures were released and circulated the beauty world. After much thought and consideration, I decided to purchase the Made With Love by Malika face palette and nude lipstick in the shade Yours Truly. Eventually, I picked up the other face palette as well, but I will save that for another review.

As per Becca:

“A limited-edition, full face palette created in collaboration with BECCA BFFs Khloé Kardashian and Malika Haqq. Easy to use, all-in-one BECCA x Khloé Kardashian & Malika Haqq Bronze, Blush & Glow Palette features BECCA’s Soft Focus Highlighter, Satin Matte Bronzer and 2 shades of fan favorite Radiant Blush. The sheer, buildable shades are infused with light technology to softly scatter and reflect light to smooth the look of skin and create a natural, lit- from-within glow. Everything you need to bronze, blush and glow!”

The packaging on this face palette is absolutely adorable. The Malika Palette is housed in a silver plastic compact that contains a full mirror. It would be perfect for travel if because the size isn’t too big and the mirror would be great to use to apply your makeup. I feel that the packaging on this is pretty sturdy and I wouldn’t be afraid to toss this into my bag. This item was shipped to me and it came in perfect condition. I do have to mention that this palette can get extremely dirty and full of fingerprints, so if that’s not something you like, you may want to steer clear.

There are three different face products in this palette: a highlight shade (Dusted), two radiant blushes (Make Me Blush and Yes Girl!), and a satin bronzer (Bestie Bronze). The shades felt a little sturdy to the touch but swatched beautifully. When applied with a blush and bronzer brush. I didn’t notice any kick up when using the products, which is always a great thing. I think the shades in here are a little more pigmented than the “sheer” description given, at least on myself. However, that just means that people with deeper skin tones will be able to use this as well.

As I mentioned, I used blush and bronzer brushes to apply the shades. They applied beautifully without difficulty. The wear time was actually pretty great. It lasted a good 8 hours before I took my makeup off at the end of the night. I do have to mention that this bronzer was a little orange on me the first time I used it, and I’m not a fan of orange bronzers. I used a brush that already had some product on it from another bronzer so maybe the mixing of the shades resulted in an orange hue. The second time around a I used a clean brush and the result was better.

The blushes are great. I have no complaints whatsoever. When I used my brush to pick up product, it seemed I had gotten little to nothing. I’m glad I didn’t go back in because the colors definitely showed up on my skin. A Little definitely goes a long way with these blushes. The highlight shade is stunning. I loved it! It’s in between subtle and flashy. I used it every day this past week, mixing it with others and adding it on top of cream highlighters. It’s one of my new favorites!

I actually purchased Khloe’s lipstick shade in “Cupid’s Kiss” first and fell in love with it so I went back and purchased Yours Truly.

As per Becca:

“BECCA x Khloé Kardashian & Malika Haqq Ultimate Lipstick Love is a silky-satin, 8-hour long-wearing lip colour infused with the next generation of hyaluronic acid to hydrate and smooth the appearance of lips. Ultra-creamy, pure colour pigments and light-reflecting oils deliver high impact, luxurious colour in a single swipe. Infused with lip loving avocado oil, the ultra-comfortable formula nourishes lips leaving them kissably smooth and drenched in illuminated color.”

The formula of these is just a little thicker than say, MAC cremesheen and satin formulas. If you’re not a fan of thicker consistencies in lip products, you may not like these. I absolutely loved the formula. I felt it was completely comfortable, full of opacity, applied nice and evenly… one swipe and your lips have got a lot of pigment! Yours Truly wore for a good 8 hours. It had some slight fading and I did pair it with a liner, so I think that may have helped the longevity.

I think this may be my new favorite formula! I loved the colors of both nudes in this collection and I can’t wait to review Khloe’s palette and lipstick for you!

I am adding a picture of myself wearing the lipstick and face palette the other day. I did add a Too Faced Gloss in the shade “Pretty Penny” Gloss over it, but it is beautiful on its own as well!

Did you pick anything up from this collection? What were your thoughts on them? Let me know!

Thank you so much for reading!
